For the last sixteen years I have been in some type of supervisor y role from site foreman to senior site manager. I am a great believer in teamwork and treating people with respect. Over the years I have come to believe that there are five basic principles to being a site manager. Number one: Coordinati on and planning Make sure that you have all the informatio n/ permits etc you need to meet the targets set, and also check that all the trades and suppliers have the same informatio n. It stops variations in specificat ions and drawings. Number Two: Awareness. All ways be aware of what is going on around you, and install that same sense in to all your personal on site especially when it comes to health and safety. Number three: Respect. All ways treat your personal on site with the same respect that you your self require, never loose your temper, be firm but fair. Number Four: Quality. Never except second best, all ways check for defects, ask your self would you pay good money for this. Number five: Customer Care. All ways treat the customer in a profession al polite manner and deal with any issues quickly. On a more personal note I have been married now for almost fourteen years to Kim and I have one daughter called Rhiannan who wants to work with animals when she leaves school. We like to travel and socialise with friends, we tend to go to the USA for our holidays and visit our family out there. I have a few hobbies the main one is to make toys and games and donate these to the local schools, but my pride and joy is the dolls house I made for Rhiannan
